    Reminds me of Bombay for some reason, but there it would be considered a newish building (at least in the 40’s and 60’s when I was in the Hind.)

    It’s not so clear in the photo, but those are bullet and artillery holes in the building’s facade. The green line was the division between the Christian east and Muslim west of Beirut and was essentially shot to hell during the fifteen years of civil war. This place is on the “Muslim” side.

    Still looks like it has renovation potential and possibly suitable for holiday lets.
